Courts Service of Ireland

Award winning work nationwide

Description:

With a working relationship that commenced in 2002 right up to the turnkey fit out of High Court 15 in 2020. We have also detailed and manufactured Court Room Furniture for a number of courthouses all over Ireland including award winning projects such as Trim Courthouse (Irish Joinery Award 2002), Sligo Courthouse (Irish Joinery Awards 2004), Tullamore Courthouse (OPUS Award in 2008).

Courtroom projects pose some unique challenges: sight lines and acoustics are critically important. Sight because the Judge must be able to see all pertinent individuals that are involved in a court case and acoustics because evidence and statements must be clearly heard by the Solicitors / Barristers. We have approached and resolved these challenges in all of the projects we have being involved with. The fixed asset life expectancy on any of our court's work would be in excess of 75 years. Materials used would be solid hardwoods, natural leather, with the desks and platforms designed and crafted to be future proofed for technology updates for the remainder of the 21st century.
